ModReview is a reading site. You can read every page without an account, and the site collects only what it needs to run. This page lists what that is.
What the site does not do
- No analytics, no tracking scripts and no ads.
- No ModReview cookies for readers. WordPress sets login cookies only for the people who edit the site.
- No comments and no reader accounts.
- No fonts, images or scripts from other sites. The one exception is the Contact page, described below.
Server logs
The web server records each request: the IP address it came from, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser’s user agent. A site search is part of the page address, so search terms appear in these logs too. We use the logs only to keep the site running and to block abuse.
Cloudflare
All traffic to modreview.net passes through Cloudflare, which serves cached pages and filters attacks. Cloudflare sees your IP address and each request, and it can set its own security cookies. Its privacy policy explains what it keeps.
The contact form
The form on the Contact page sends your name, email address and message to the site. Each message is stored as a private entry in the site database, where only site administrators can read it. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. Sending a message does not add you to a mailing list.
The Contact page also runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people from bots without a puzzle. It loads a script from challenges.cloudflare.com on that page only. Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum lists the data it uses. To skip Turnstile, email [email protected] instead.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data or pass it to anyone else. Cloudflare handles requests only to deliver the site, as described above.
Your messages
To see, correct or delete a message you sent, email [email protected] from the same address.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
